Fourteen New York Chapters and Centers, Audubon New York and the state Department of Transportation (DOT) partnered on a TogetherGreen Grant to restore breeding Kestrels in the State. Chapters have led Kestrel nest box-building workshops and  installed boxes. DOT helped install boxes along state roads. Rockland Audubon Society created a PowerPoint presentation on Kestrels that other Chapters are using in educational presentations about the bird and are supplementing their portion of the TG grant with some money from Chapter collaborative grants to help pay for supplies for both Kestrel and blue bird boxes.
